The West 45th and West 46th Street Block Associations were unsure where to start after Matthews-Palmer Playground, their neighborhood park with nine lives, was awarded money for a major renovation. What they did know was that they wanted input into the design.

On Tuesday, August 27, we hosted our 16th annual CityParks Tennis Benefit at the 2013 US Open Tennis Championships. The benefit, co-chaired by tennis legends Billie Jean King and John McEnroe, raised important funds for CityParks Tennis, our free youth instructional program that serves over 7,000 children in parks throughout New York City each season.

After a month of bonding and learning together, the Green Girls found themselves at the end of the program. It had been a time filled with adventure and each girl knew they would be walking away with memories that would last a lifetime.

On Friday, July 26, NYC Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg hosted City Parks Foundation’s twelfth annual Mayor’s Cup Golf tournament at the American Golf-operated Pelham Bay/Split Rock Golf Course in the Bronx. Business executives, government officials and LPGA champion Cristie Kerr all came out to raise funds for CityParks Golf.
